North Texas Fully Charged – NTFC is the latest chapter of power soccer established in Texas. It is organized as a non-profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status under the US IRS tax code. Its mission is to bring the sport of power soccer and all its benefits to those with physical disabilities looking for recreation and competition.
Our mission
The mission of North Texas Fully Charged is to enhance the lives of people with physical disabilities through sport, recreation and competition. To expand sportsmanship and comradery opportunities for power wheelchair users through soccer and to maintain a support community for youth and adult athletes.
Our history
The team has been in the works since 2019 while Kristin and Joseph travel to Houston, TX so their son Logan can practice with the Houston Fireballs team. After gathering interest from local players and volunteers they decided to start a team in north Texas to provide the same opportunity to players in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
In 2021 they were able to purchase the basic equipment and started spreading the word about the new power soccer team. In 2022 the team was able to secure a facility for regular practice at the physical education building of UT Arlington. Go Moving Mavs.
We continue to spread awareness about the sport, connect with volunteers and sponsors to carry out our mission, impacting lives and creating opportunities for those looking for recreation and competition.
It takes people, lots of dedicated people, and resources to make this sport a reality. The benefits are countless, from improving self-esteem, independence, comradeship, relaxation and fun. The independence and team work provided by playing power soccer is a priceless experience to children and adults with disabilities.
